ENVY x360 Laptop - 15m-ee0013dx driver not compatible

Hi

i have the ENVY x360 Laptop - 15m-ee0013dx and i have no mic device at all.

i Go to HP website to download the Audio drivers and after i run the install i get the message that the driver is not compatible with my Windows version. Im a tech with 20 years of experience and this is the first time i experience this.

Please point me to the correct driver for this model.

Keep in mind that i do have sound but no mic and there is an audio controller in the device manager that has no drivers installed.

See if this works...

The microphone is part of the graphics system, not the audio system as one might expect, and a recent Windows update knocked out the microphone.

You should be able to fix the problem by running the AMD Auto-Detect and Install Radeon™ Graphics Drivers for Windows®  utility at the top of the webpage below.

Once the auto detect utility is installed, it will show an option to do a "Factory reset" which will delete, and reinstall all related graphics drivers (it will not remove any other program or app installed in your PC, or affect any of the already existing information).  It just resets the graphics system.

Nvidia graphics card do i use amd?

If you have Nvidia graphics, go to https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

and make sure you also pause Windows automatic updates to avoid having the driver you load replaced by an incompatible one.
