Elitebook 850 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We have many Elitebook 850 G3 in our company with Windows 7 or Windows 10 Enterprise installed.

We also have installed any HP Drivers on them and the FN keys with F1...F12 works corresponding to their symbols.

Now we found out that press and release the ESC key followed by pressing simply F8 or F10 (without the Fn key pressed) is muting the microphone ! This sequence is used in an Application we are using therefore we found out that in addition this mutes the microphone 😞

Does anybody have an idea how this can be supressed ?

Or in addition can anybody with the same "installation" please verify if he gets the same behavior ?

Hi,

On my HP ProBook 450 G4 i have the same Problem. I turned off the Funktionkeys to use the normal F1-F12 Keys for my Working Application but if i press ESC followed by F10 the Microphone of my Plantronics Headset turn mute on.

Do you have Any Solution meanwhile?

We have ProBooks 650 G2 and Elitebooks 850 G5, both Windows 10 Enterprise and 7 and run into the same problems as described.

ESC followed by F8 or F10 toggles the Mute function.

Since we are using Plantronics headsets we already contacted them for support, they denied such functions in their drivers and directed us to HP support.

The Esc F10 combination is also used by us in an application on a regular basis.

So during phone calls with clients we get muted a lot which is very annoying.

Is there any solution to this problem yet?
