Enable "Which device did you plugged in" popup

When I insert line in jack to the combo port of my laptop it does not detect.So I want "Which device did you popup".How can I get it?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Please follow the below steps and check if it helps.
- Press Windows + R, type control panel and then hit Enter, select Hardware and Sound.
- Scroll down and select Realtek HD Audio Manager.
- Click the folder icon just above and to the right of where it says analog back panel and just below Device Advanced settings.
- Uncheck Enable auto popup dialog when device has been plugged in.
- Click OK twice.
- Now, restart the computer and check the issue.

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.
a) Right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click "Recording devices".
b) Right click on the blank space in the popped up window and then select "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices".
c) Right click on Headphone and then click "Enable".
d) Highlight the microphone and then choose "Set as Default Device".
e) Click Apply and Ok.
