Hi @AOLVirus,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems you're dealing with two issues.
- HP Envy 360 Keyboard not working:
- This issue may have occurred after an update or software change. Here are some things you can try:
- Check Device Manager: Open Device Manager (press Windows key + X, then select Device Manager), find the "Keyboards" section, and right-click to update the driver.
- Uninstall and Reinstall Keyboard Driver: In Device Manager, right-click the keyboard device and select "Uninstall". Restart your laptop, and Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
- Check for Windows Updates: Sometimes, a pending update can resolve hardware issues.
- Check Keyboard Settings: Open Settings > Time & Language > Typing and ensure all settings are correct. Disable any special keyboard layouts or filters.
- This issue may have occurred after an update or software change. Here are some things you can try:
- Echoing Voice from the Microphone:
- Echoing is usually caused by a microphone feedback loop or settings issue.
- Check Sound Settings: Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, select "Sounds", go to the "Recording" tab, and select your microphone. Click on "Properties" and navigate to the "Levels" tab to adjust the microphone sensitivity. If echoing persists, try lowering the microphone volume.
- Disable "Listen to this device": In the same "Microphone Properties" window, ensure the option "Listen to this device" under the "Listen" tab is unchecked.
- Check Audio Enhancements: Open Sound Settings > Advanced Sound Options, and ensure that no enhancements are causing issues. You can also try turning off the spatial sound settings.
- Use External Mic: If the laptop’s internal mic is causing feedback, try using an external microphone to see if the problem persists.
- Echoing is usually caused by a microphone feedback loop or settings issue.
If the issues started after a Windows 11 update, it could also be a driver compatibility issue. Restoring to a previous date (e.g., May 2024) is a good idea if everything worked fine back then. You can do this by navigating to Settings > System > Recovery and selecting "Go back" to the previous version of Windows.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
