Hello @procrastinating
I am wondering about the installation problem.
This is the official HP driver (sp140719.exe) -> Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver
Try to download the driver again.
Kind regards

i tried, but didnt work.
i also tried the hard reset like the virtual hp assistent suggested, but didnt work too.
after i reinstalled those 8 audio drivers you suggested first, the laptop seemed to be demanding more rom, so the last thing i tried was go back to restauration point we created before reinstall those drivers. im not sure if windows couldnt go back successfuly, but now it got a problem in the windows key. every time i try to open it, it returns an error, like this:
i tried to reinstall all those drivers again, tried windows update, hp support assistant, another restoration poin but there wasnt any else. i tried to search about this error but nothig helped yet.

Please explain what "hard reset" you have done. You know that we have created a restore point before !
Kind regards
