HP Pavilion 14-dh1178tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, My laptop has B&O sound. On the quick launch icon there was setting option under HP Audio Switch.

But after recent window update, setting option is missing and I am not able to set equalizer settings.

Configuration of my laptop: -

HP Pavilion 14-dh1178tu

8GB RAM

512 GB SSD

win 10 64-bit home edition single language.

I tried to reinstall the driver from HP site, but issue not resolved.

One more question, i was trying to look the solution online, and found one solution to reinstall the driver form c:\SWSetup\SP******\UWP (in my case the setup is SP105738) containing file (.appxbundle) file.

I did the same, but my issue not resolved.

i also opened B&O Audio Control on my laptop. Equalizers were issue4.jpgabsent from there too, as in the screenshot :-

But before the update the equalizer settings were there as in the screenshot below:-

My question is, why, if I was able to use this option in past and now after windows update I am not able to use the same?

Kindly help.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the equalizer option is missing after the Windows update.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

What is the Windows version installed on your computer?

Meanwhile, I recommend you uninstall the audio driver from the device manager and then download and install the driver from the below link.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp105501-106000/sp105738.exe

Here is how it is done.

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
