HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Last month I downloaded Windows 10 to my HP Notebook. Since that time, the factory-installed (probably wrong term) bose speakers are not working. I know this cuz the usual full audio sound is now tinny and without the normal volume, even at full 100% setting.  What happened??

Unsatisfactory audio is one of the most common complaints after upgrading a machine to Windows 10-especially if there are no Audio drivers posted at HP site for the model. Have you checked your Support page for Windows 10 drivers? If HP doesn't support your model on Windows 10-only hope is that Windows Update will eventually offer an update. Right click the audio device in Device Manager and choose Update driver to let WU search.

To find your Support page at HP site:

Get your full Model number or Product number from the Service Tag attached to bottom of laptop (may be under battery)> How To Find Model/Product Number

Once you have the info, use the button at top of this page titled "Support", then click "Software and Drivers" from the menu. On the next page enter your Product Number. After entering  click 'Find my product' button. On the next page be sure correct OS is selected-if not click Change to edit .A list will populate with drivers/software.
