XOT64PA#ABG
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The sound on my computer is not working properly on playback. When I troubleshoot the problem it says Generic Audio Driver detected. I purchased the computer 09/08/2017. Any help with this problemwill be appreciated

I think your machine is X0T64PA#ABG (zero) not XOT64PA#ABG (leter O), its specs

 

        https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05463562

 

Please try

 

(a) Download the following software and save on your computer

 

       https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82001-82500/sp82196.exe

 

(b) Go to Device Manager to uninstall Sounds and reboot machine,

(c) Right click the downloaded file and select Run as administrator.

 

Hope new driver helps.
