Hello everyone,

There are some problems with the speakers sound so I need to check HP Audio Control, but it does not work for sorry. I have tried to reinstall Audio Driver, turn on all Realtek Audio services, update everything by Windows update, Windows Audio Troubleshooting, HPIA, HP Support Assistant updates, Audio Diagnosis. UEFI update. Like everything even EC power reset and HP Audio Control repair and with that the it does not connect to RPC.

Here some screenshots:

Hi @Esam3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for providing the screenshots and for detailing all the troubleshooting you have already completed. I understand that HP Audio Control is unable to connect to the RPC service, despite reinstalling the audio driver, checking the Realtek services, updating Windows and HP drivers, and performing an EC power reset.

Since the Realtek audio devices are visible in Device Manager, please try the following:

Repair/Reset HP Audio Control

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
  • Find HP Audio Control.
  • Select Advanced options > Repair.
  • If the issue remains, select Reset and restart the PC.

Check the RPC services

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Check that these services are running:
  • Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
  • RPC Endpoint Mapper
  • DCOM Server Process Launcher
  • These should normally be running automatically.

Check the HP/Realtek audio-related services

  • In Services, look for any HP Audio, Realtek, or related audio services.
  • If any are stopped, note their exact names and status rather than changing them manually.

Reinstall HP Audio Control

  • If HP Audio Control was installed through the Microsoft Store, uninstall it and reinstall the latest available version.
  • Restart the notebook after installation.

Since you have already performed extensive driver and firmware troubleshooting, please let us know whether the RPC-related services are running normally and whether HP Audio Control shows the same error immediately after a clean restart.

Also, please share the exact HP laptop model/product number and Windows version. This will help us check the correct HP Audio Control and audio-driver package for your system.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Best regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi
