I've just bought my HP laptop and still the equalization doesn't work with headphones...

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

 

I see you are experiencing HP Audio Control issues with the HP Laptop PC.  

 

I have a few recommendations 

  • HP Audio Control allows you to control equalization and enhancement settings as well as some other settings for the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver.
  • HP Audio control works only with speakers and not headphones. This is as per the design.
  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
