HP Spectre x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-eu0000 (7K633AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

i have 3 issues with my laptop.

1. Laptop audio gets low and i have to either restart or try to RE-install driver and it may work. if so, just for one day. next day have to do it again or will not work at all.

2. Mouse cursor gets large on start up all on its own and i bring it back down to small size. Next day, goes back to large size

3. When i plug in my laptop, screen goes black for a few seconds then goes back on. Same when i unplug. Is this normal? i dont remember this doing it before HP repaired my laptop

ALl of this happened AFTER HP repaired my laptop and installed a new mother board..  barely had my laptop for 1 month in my hands. i think HP has had it more than i have with these issues continuing to happen. Also, its SO hard to get in contact with them since i come back home from work after 5 and they are closed (5pm pacific which is 8 eastern) so its been diffucult to get a hold of someone and no email or phone number to contact on weekends either.. a bit frustrating

@Atrax123, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like you're dealing with some pretty annoying issues with your laptop after HP repaired it. Let's go through each one and see if we can figure out what might be happening:

Audio gets low

This could be an issue with your audio driver or settings, especially if it started happening after the motherboard replacement.  Here are a few things you can try:

  • Make sure all your system drivers are up to date, you can use the HP Support assistant to update.
  • Check windows updates.
  • Boot your laptop in Safe Mode to see if the issue still occurs. If it doesn't, there might be a third-party app or service that's interfering.

Mouse cursor gets large:

  • Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Mouse pointer and make sure the settings aren't set to change the pointer size automatically.
  • Make sure your graphics drivers are fully updated.
  • Reset your mouse settings to default and see if the issue persists.

Screen flickers:

This isn't normal, and it could be a symptom of an issue with either the power supply or the motherboard installation. Here are a few things to try:

  • Check your laptop's power settings (Settings > System > Power & Sleep) and make sure it is set to recommended settings.
  • If the issue is linked to graphics switching between battery and plugged-in mode, it might be a driver issue.

I hope these steps helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
