I reinstalled Windows 11 and now speaker doesn't work. I see that the device Cirrus Logic Awesome Speaker Amps says "device power failure". I also see this as a common issue on this site and HP hasn't posted a resolution

Download the driver > unpack it into a folder with an unpacker like 7-Zip > in the Device Manager > Cirrus Logic Awesome Speaker Amps > Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Browse button and select the folder with extracted files from the CAB file > OK > Next > Close
Sometimes a restart is necessary afterwards.

I don't understand the version chaos with the drivers for Cirrus Logic Awesome Speaker Amps. Unfortunately, the search in the Microsoft Update Catalog does not provide any more information. It is best to uninstall the device first and install the latest Realtek Audio Driver from the HP website (contains the driver for Cirrus Logic Awesome Speaker Amps).
There are settings for power management for this device in the device manager, uncheck the box here. Also, do not forget to restart.

Thanks Lachs for all of your help. I have Realtek 6.0.9579.1 and Cirrus 20.5.24.143 running successfully with power management checked off. I updated Bios. No luck though on sound on the Bang and Olufsen speakers (Bluetooth and earphone work fine). Also, when I do the HP diagnostics (not on Windows), I can hear sound.
The only other issue I see is that I have 2 I2C HID Devices and the second says “this device cannot start (Code 10). A request for the HID descriptor failed.” Wondering if that is my remaining issue?
Frustrating that a Windows rebuild would create this issue. Thanks

I have just seen a picture here in the forum
The driver for I2C HID Device could be crucial. Also available from the HP driver page for this computer.
