Product: HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 Notebook PC IDS Base Model
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 Notebook PC IDS Base Model microphone disappeared after windows 11 upgrade. Technician has reformatted drive and reinstalled again - microphone cam on and worked for one day and then disappeared again. Have tried all recommended fixes, including updating drivers, removing microphone and rebooting. System works fine with an external microphone. Diagnostics reports that Windows Audio Endpoint and Windows Audio services are not running, however when I check the services they are both running. tried stopping and restarting teh services - no luck. I see the problem was reported before. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4898616
