Audio sync issue
Doesnt matter what the source is, be it vlc, windows media player, netflix , prime, youtube, etc
its fine for a few minutes , then the audio goes out by about 10 seconds, drivers up to date, uninstalled, reinstalled, etc, even done a reset, and it still does it

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the audio sync.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
What is the product number of your computer?
Have you checked using headphones?
Meanwhile, I recommend you run the audio troubleshooter and it will automatically find and fix audio issues.
Here is how it is done.
- Launch Troubleshooting by typing and clicking “Troubleshooting” in Windows search.
- Click on "Playing Audio".
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Morning
Its is a HP - OMEN Laptop 15-ek0xxx
Product ID - 187N6EA#ACQ
It happens with Both Headphones and Speakers, i have run the windows audio troubleshooter , and it cannot find any issues, and still the problem persists. Its something that only happens with Video ( Any platform, be it online, or local file), not in gaming

I recommend you download and install the audio driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

I recommend you perform a system restore back to the date when everything was working fine on the computer.
Refer to the below article for detailed steps.

I have done this step when i first noticed the problem , which was the day i got the notebook, and it made no difference
this has been a "out of the box" problem, and going on the hp support forums, im not the only one having it.
It cannot be a hardware issue, as any other form of audio ( ie gaming) its fine, its literally just on Video playback.

I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and perform a recovery on the computer and check if it helps.

Ok, for the sake of it, i have done the reset, still does it, have updated the drivers , still does it.
However, if i boot into a linux live usb , it doesnt, which points to a windows driver issue from HP , seeing as the latest driver still shows this issue
