Product: HP OMEN 17 w200nx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Guys would like to ask how many speakers are in the OMEN ? in the guide i see that there are speakers on the top and some other speakers on the back side of the laptop , the problem is that only the backside speakers are working and the sound is too low ! i have tried almost all solutions and options to raise the volume even its showing the maximum !

 

 

kindly advise ...

There are 2 sets of Omen 17-w2xx machines.

 

  • The higher machines have 4 speakers,  2 at the front and 2 at the rear.
  • The lower machines have 2 speakers, they are all at the front

Your machine has  NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 (6 GB GDDR5 dedicated) video card, it should be classified as a higher machine therefore it has 4 speakers.

 

Please re-install/update Audio driver using the following package

 

            https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp103501-104000/sp103883.exe
