- Are you using any external speakers?
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Updating Windows and performing a test on the Speakers may help. Let us try these steps:
Step 1: Update Windows
Select Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Update > Check for updates
Step 2: Run a Component Test
- Select Start, and then select HP Help and Support. Right-click HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows, select More, and then select Run as administrator.
- The app opens to the main menu. Click Component Tests.
- The Component Tests menu displays. Click the plus sign next to each component to expand the selection. Choose Audio.
- Check the results.
Step 3: Click on this link to run a test and diagnose Sound issues.
Choose Sound issue from the available options.
Step 4: update BIOS and re-install Audio drivers
Click here to download Audio drivers if any, select your product before downloading.
Let me know how this goes.
