Hey all! Thanks for looking at this question. This is a recurring issue. The internal speakers and microphone (B&O) work just fine until the system has an unexpected crash. When the computer is turned on again, the system fails to detect them as connected to the computer. I've tried all the possible channels I know of to resolve the problem, such as running Audio Check, trying to update the drivers in Device Manager, etc., but nothing works and they are still not detected as present in any case. If it helps, this thread discusses a problem pretty much identical to mine, and I've taken the same steps as the person who initiated it as well. So far, I've resolved the issue about 3-4 times, each time by way of a Windows update and restart, but this time Windows has already been updated to its most recent version.

I'm not sure what's causing the issue, but I'm pretty sure it can't be on the hardware end since it's begun with a computer crash and been resolved by a Windows update every time it's cropped up, and the mic and speakers seem to work perfectly in the periods in between.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day!

Would you look at that, the problem resolved itself after another crash...

I really don't know what's going on here, but I'm happy it worked out in the end. Have a great day, everyone.
