I've followed the instructions as directed, and the volume starts out strong, but then fades back to a low volume. Please HELP! I just bought this laptop in May and dont know why its acting this way.

The same thing happened to me. I got rid of the windows version2004 update. That was the problem. You can roll back to the previous version of windows. There are known problems with the Realtek drivers and version 2004

Latest AMD driver updates can cause this issue, It took a long time to figure but I got it working now. Just use AMD uninstall tool to completely remove your current drivers and then download latest drivers from AMD site (wait are you telling me the video driver is messing up my audio driver? YES!) Also download and install corresponding Windows versión drivers for your Realtek B&O soundcard from HP site. I have fixed this twice now doing this steps. Thank you AMD useless updates!
