Hi,
Last week i was watching netflix and the sound was running fine. Then it suddenly stopped working.
It seems that the B&O Control has stopped working. I have reinstalled and upgraded all drivers and by turning on the B&O control app manually, i am able to hear sound through headphones.
I was also able to hear sound through speakers - but it seems it was not being amplified properly and the output quality and volume was extremely pure.
This notebook is just about 2 months old, so i would expect a quick solution as the sound is one of the reasons i bought this.

It looks like you were interacting with @KrazyToad, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out.
It sounds like an issue with the audio driver installed on your PC. Let's try these steps:
1.) In Windows, search for and open "Device Manager".
2.) Double-click "Sound, video and game controllers".
3.) Right-click the sound device and select "Uninstall". Please make sure that you check the box "Delete driver software for this device"
4.) Download and install the Audio driver available here.
Keep me posted!

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
I have gone through your Post and I would like to help
May I know how did you update the drivers? Did you update them from our HP Site or directly from Device Manager?
Are you experiencing this issue only with Netflix?
I suggest you run an Audio Test to confirm the Hardware functionality
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Audio
Keep me posted how it goes
Thank you and have a good day 😊

Hi KrazyToad,
I am facing this issue with all audio outputs - Netflix, Youtube, any song apps, etc. - and only on the computer speakers. I am able to make headphones work by connecting the phones, opening B&O control panel and then waiting for it to recognise another input.
The drivers probably got updated with the latest Windows Update - possibly could be the Intel SST issue, but i can not see SST in the device manager.
I also tried updating drivers on device manager but it told me i already had latest drivers.
I ran the Component test for Audio, and its fine - the test passed and i could hear the sound. To me it seems like some drivers are misbehaving or clashing with each other but im not able to figure out which ones.

We can check if there is any restore point before this issue started and we can attempt a System Restore to an earlier time
- Select the Start button, type control panel and then choose it from the list of results.
- Search Control Panel for Recovery.
- Select Recovery > Open System Restore > Next.
- Choose the restore point prior to the start of the issue and then select Next > Finish.
If there are no Restore points or if the issue persists, please follow the instructions in this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04742289 to perform the Reset
Keep me posted
Thank you and have a lovely weekend 😊

Bang & Olufsen Audio Control Panel is included with that audio driver package. Please restart the PC and check if you can access the Bang & Olufsen Audio Control Panel from the Windows Taskbar.
