My AKAI MPC Mini (USB MIDI Controller) does not work with my new HP Pavillion laptop. It works on my old laptop, and on every other PC I have tried it on. It is supposedly plug and play - no drivers required - and this has been the case on every other PC.

 

It seems this is a long-running issue with HP - other manufacturers have updated their audio drivers to be compatible with USB MIDI, but HP has not.

Unfortunately, this issue means my HP laptop is useless to me and so unless there is some hope of it being fixed, I will be returning it as not fit for purpose.

 

Has anyone had any success in fixing this issue?
