HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0013dx
Microsoft Windows 11

I have Windows 11 Home, version 23H2 running on my HP SPECTRE x360, 13-ap0013dx laptop. Recently it stopped seeing the internal speakers so I have no output sound. I have tried lots of other people's online suggestions but to no avail. When I hover over the speaker icon in the taskbar I get a message "No audio device is installed". Yet when I go to "Sound, video and game controllers" in Device Manager I see the "Realtek(R) Audio" icon and when I click on it it tells me "This device is working properly." Anybody else had this problem and if so, were you able to fix it?
