Product: HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-df0xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
HP Spectre Laptop internal microphone does not work:
- USB headset microphone does work.
- All sound outputs work correctly.
- Windows troubleshooting app does not find any problem.
- Removing and reinstalling microphone and audio drivers has no effect on issue.
- Updating driver response: "The best drivers for your device are already installed".
- Discovered that HP Noise Cancelation, enabled as default setting in HP Audio Control App, disables the internal microphone (Microphone Array (Intel smart Sound Technology (Intel SST))).
- Work around: by disabling HP Noise Cancelation in in HP Audio Control App, the internal microphone now works
