HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0204tu
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I have my HP Spectre x360 running on windows 11 and recently had to reset the computer from scratch, I have noticed that the both the speakers are giving very low sound output. I have reset the system twice but the issue remains the same.

Let me know anyone has a solution.

Hi  @Vinzy,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how it must be to reset your HP Spectre x360 twice and still face low speaker output thank you for sharing the details so far.

Could you confirm  whether the issue is with both speakers equally or one side more than the other?

Here are a few  checks you can try and confirm :

  • Audio driver update: Open Device Manager -expand Sound, video and game controllers -right‑click Realtek Audio (or Intel Smart Sound) -Update driver.

  • HP Support Assistant: Run HP Support Assistant to automatically detect and install the latest drivers and firmware.

  • Audio enhancements: Go to Sound settings -Device properties -Additional device properties -Enhancements tab. Try disabling all enhancements to see if volume improves.

  • Windows sound settings: Ensure the output device is set to Speakers (Realtek) and volume levels are balanced under Advanced sound options.

Could you also let me know:

  • Did the speakers work normally before the reset?

  • Are you noticing low volume across all apps, or only specific ones?

  • Have you tried headphones  do they give normal sound levels?

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
