From the time I updated to Windows 10 & then 11 I have had in and out sound issues for over a year. No drivers fix it, Uninstalling and reinstalling them sometimes did fix it for a short period but what a hassle to constantly refresh those and when kit didn't solve the problem it was frustrating. What I found is the Realtek High def sound interfaces from the speakers is the problem. Follow this video link. It fixed my problem about half way through and its good knowledge on the sound interfaces on the HP. It was simple to follow. Hope it works for you as it is aggravating that HP couldn't navigate a fix.
