Despite all of these troubleshooting steps, including a clean install which was a significant disruption for my home work setup, this issue still persists. I do not understand why this is happening with my laptop and others laptops apparently.

I have tried every single step HP Support has suggested and this issue still persists on my device. Since you had your speakers replaced and it continues to happen, I am thinking this is a software/driver issue and not necessarily a hardware issue. Again, I've tried rolling back, updating, deleting/reinstalling, etc. all audio drivers and the entire operating system and still no fix.

My computer continues to experience this issue, I too am resigned to using my bluetooth speaker for all audio. No thanks to the support team here either. I'll be looking at other brands for a laptop in the future unfortunately.
