Microsoft Windows 11

I have a Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa1000. I realized recently (in the last week or two)  that there is no longer an audio device installed. I can use my Bluetooth headphones with it and they work fine, but the default system audio does not show. All the system troubleshooters are geared to being able to select the device that is not working, but in my case, there is no device to select. I've run through all the other troubleshooting ideas that support has floated on various threads to no avail. The drivers are installed and (so the system says) in working order. I rolled them back, just to try that, without any effect.

This has the B&O sound and I would like to be able to use my audio again - how can I get the laptop to recognize the default audio device?
