HP ZBook Studio G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The Audio system in my laptop suddenly stopped working, even though I did not update anything, nor did I physically manhandle the laptop. Since then, every time I try to troubleshoot the error on startup, it gives the error that it couldn't identify the problem, and there were no hardware changes that were detetcted.

On the Device Manager Page, the Intel (R) SST Audio Driver is listed under System Devices, and when I click on its properties, it gives a message of a Code 43, i.e. - "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems."

How do I get my audio driver to start working again?

Hi,

For audio, only the Conexant HD Audio Driver listed. Please try it:

Regards.

Got the same problem. Solved by running the HP Hardware Diagnostics.

Press Esc - F2 at startup to enter HP Hardware Diagnostics, and run the test about audio.
