Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa1000 (771S5AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I accidentally uninstalled B&O audio software. Now I'm trying to reinstall it.

First I tried to download it from HP Victus support page using Download and Support Assistant. But it gives an error saying "download failed".

So I downloaded it manually, but the problem is there is no setup file, just a bunch of command files. I ran them, but they only install the drivers, not the necessary software as well. I had the same problem with Intel video drivers also, it just installed the driver, I had to install control center separately from MS Store.

Why HP has such a weird way for installing drivers? I used many other brands before, they had the good old exe or msi setup file which installed both drivers and necessary software.

If you are forcing such a weird way, at least make the Download and Support Assistant work. There are countless topics that mentions getting download error.

1. Download this, then just extract it using WinRAR or similar WinRAR software.
2. Create a system restore first, by searching in the search using the phrase 'recovery', click Configure System Restore, then click the 'Create' button and name it whatever you like.
3. Keep your device connected to the internet.
4. Uninstall hdx_hpext_hsa.inf and boaudiocontrolhsa.inf using this software. (Adjust to my first image, I give an example of uninstalling hdx_hpext_hsa.inf and hpaudiocenter.inf)
5. From the downloaded file, just copy the file according to my second image in one folder, then install it via Device Manager by clicking the 'Add drivers' icon, then 'Browse' and navigate to the folder where the file according to my second image is.
6. The BO Audio Control application will be automatically downloaded.

Thanks but I found this MS Store link and installed from there, it is much more simpler. https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nvbxd9b5ctj?hl=en-us&gl=us
