Hello.  I am unable to use bluetooth on my HP Envy... It seems as though several devices are connected and paired, but none of them work   I have hearing aids paired and connected but they do not work with the laptop.   I have a phone connected... nothing works with the laptop  I know this stuff is connected because it knows the names of the hearing aids and the phone/  It says the computer is connected but again, nothing works.

I have a set of sonos speakers connected to a samsung TV and I can "project" or "mirror" the video to the tv but the audio doesn't work...my computer says miracast is enabled.. I  only have one  option at the moment for audio output and that is realtek speakers... at some point during this debacle, I had a digital output available   It doesn't appear

I am at wits end over this darn thing ... all I want to do is play some music from media player over a decent set of speakers/ It seems the computer should do it and it seems like everything is working EXCEPT the audio itself.

I have downloaded so many troubleshooters and drivers etc that I will be surprised if the whole computer doesn't quit pretty soon.

@realolman

What is your computer ? Does it ACTUALLY have Bluetooth hardware ?

thank you for responding... It is an HP envy. with windows 10  .It certainly seems to have bluetooth.  It says it is paired to my phone and it knows it's name, it is paired to my hearing aids and it knows their names... it has a bluetooth icon in the notification area and several listings in the device manager

I also tried to project or mirror - I don't know what the correct term is - I want whatever is on my computer to also be on my samsung tv - using my wi-fi... in every case the audio is what does not work... the audio works on the laptop and if I plug in head phones the video works on the tv using the wifi.bluetooth.PNG

I understand that the tv is not connected at this time and that the tv and the sonos are two different systems,and that the bluetooth and the wifi are two different things, but I don't understand why I can't connect to the tv over wifi or bluetooth, and have whatever the tv receives from the computer to play over the.sonos speakers.. I sure would like to be able to play some music that I recorded over a decent set of speakers...  and if it's worth anything... my iphone will play over the sonos using airplay

again thank you for your consideration

I would like to modify and focus this problem :

  I downloaded an app called "stream what you hear"

When I open the sonos app I can see that it is connected to the sonos in "now playing"

I play a selection on the audacity app and I can hear it on the computer but not through the sonos.

It surely seems to be some sort of audio problem in the HP envy

If I could get that single problem fixed, I would be happy.

thank you
