HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Over the last week or so we have had a random selection of HP laptops (all ProBook models of one sort or another, ranging from G6-G8 models) where the built-in speakers suddenly stopped working. Uninstalling and reinstalling the device in Device Manager, or updating or rolling back the driver, none of these have helped. HP Support Assistant also finds no issue. If the affected users plug in a USB headset of some sort they get audio, it just seems to be the built-in speakers which have stopped working.
