Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

EAR BUDS AND/OR HEADPHONES ARE OF SUPREME IMPORTANCE TO ME AND I KNOW I'M NOT ALONE!!!

 

Had my new hp Pavilion laptop for a week -- switching from Mac to PC btw.

1. My preferred ear buds did not work in the jack.

2. Another pair of ear buds worked for a couple of days, and then, quit working --- the sound came out through the speakers.

3.  I tried a cable from the jack to a speaker and it does not work.

4. I tried using the cable from my Macbook and it worked fine.

 

I do not understand how in the 21st Century when we are all so reliant on using computers with SOUND for viewing, playing games, creating music, creating audio a PC can have a jack that doesn't function and/or the software has major issues with playing sound.

 

I would not have bought this computer if I knew it had a serious flaw playing sound.  

 

SOLVED FOR NOW :)!!!!

In my search for solutions I found someone who said their earbud jack WORKED ONLY IF THEY PLUGGED THEIR HEADPHONES/EARBUDS IN BEFORE TURNING THEIR COMPUTER ON.  I JUST TRIED THAT AND IT'S WORKING NOW. 

I HOPE THIS IS A PERMANENT SOLUTION. 🙂
