I have a few old cassettes with my old band music on and want to transfer to computer. Can I record by connecting a stereo 3.5mm jack from headphone socket of cassette player to the headphone/microphone socket of X360 using voice recorder. I tried but it doesn't seem to work, any help would be appreciated, so I can preserve old band music on to a modern medium. Thank you

No, that won't work. You need to convert analog (cassette) to digital (computer). There are many adapters around to help such as
