I bought a HP-15fc0049au laptop today and no 3.5mm earphones fit into the port. Please don't answer with the typical BS about trying the earphones with other devices or checking the software. THE PORT IS TOO EFFING SMALL -- IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND? What can I do about this? No time to return to the mall where I purchased this thing.

I understand that you are unable to connect the earphones, I am glad to assist you.

Please verify if the headphone port looks like how it is shown in the below picture on the left side of your notebook.

 

Refer to page number 4 in this user guide for more reference:- Click here

If the headphones port looks different, this might require one on one interaction to fix the issue,

I am sending you a private message with the steps to talk to HP support.

Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
