I have had the same problem with my laptop and it was really frustrating. However, I just found a solution for it - just updated my BIOS and so far, it seems to have solved the problem for me!
You can download the new BIOS from here:

Hi, Please try this workaround if it works for you. This will disable the notification completely. Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options. or simply tyoe Power Options in Metro UI. Choose the plan you use most, or do it for all 3 if you switch it up, and click the 'Change plan settings' link under it click 'Change advanced power settings' after which you will get the power options window, then its just.. Battery > Low Battery notification > turn it OFF. hope it works for you. Good Luck !!!

I have found few users report that issue gets fixed with this BIOS update.
Good Luck !!!

Just updated the BIOS. Down to 10% battery and no beep! Thanks, HP.
Not sure if the second message below was for me or the next post -- but either way, seems to work for the ENVY m6-1105dx.

Also I forgot to mention that it beeps at an interval of 15 seconds. Did HP really think this idea through, I mean assuming that at 10% of battery life I have 30 minutes of usage left, that means 120 beeps until my laptop definitely shuts off from a battery drain.
