I installed a Lexar 1TB SSD and a short time after that the sound completely disappeared, there is no detection of the Audio Output device on my laptop and it is frustrating because I have only recently bought this laptop. The driver updates have not changed anything and customer support is also non-existent despite the device being under factory warranty.

Hi @JLabs79
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand how frustrating this situation must be, especially with a brand-new laptop. Let's work together to resolve this issue and get your audio back.
Here are some detailed steps you can follow:
Step 1: Check Device Manager
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
- Look for Realtek High Definition Audio or any audio device. If it's missing, proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Reinstall Audio Drivers
- In Device Manager, right-click on any audio device (if present) and select Uninstall device.
- Visit the HP Support website and search for your laptop model (OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-xf0000).
- Download the latest Realtek High-Definition Audio Driver for Windows 11.
- Install the driver and restart your laptop.
Step 3: Use HP Support Assistant
- Open the HP Support Assistant application on your laptop.
- Go to the My devices tab and select your laptop.
- Check for any available updates or drivers specifically related to audio and install them.
Step 4: Install Realtek Audio Console
- Open the Microsoft Store from your Start menu.
- Search for Realtek Audio Console and install it.
- This software often provides additional audio control features.
Step 5: BIOS Update (Optional)
- Check if your laptop's BIOS is up-to-date. An outdated BIOS can sometimes cause hardware detection issues.
- Visit the HP Support website and download the latest BIOS update for your laptop model.
Step 6: Reset Windows Audio Services
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Locate Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder in the list.
- Right-click each service, select Restart, and ensure their startup type is set to Automatic.
