I have a HP Notebook, G62-340US with an OS Windows 7 64-bit! I was trying to change some of the sounds to something different. Now, there is an echo whenever there is any sound....getting email, etc. I was trying to watch a TV program on my PC & couldn't due to this echo! I don't know what I clicked on to cause this echo. I tried changing the sound to something different & still get the echo. I have outside speakers due to low sound on my laptop! I unplugged them & the echo is still there. What could be making this echo & how do I fix it? Thank you!

Hi,
Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'. Left click the default device once to highlight it ( it's usually 'speakers & headphones' ) then click the Properties button. Click the Enhancements tab and put a tick in the box next to 'Disable all enhancements'. Click Apply to save the change and then click OK in all remaining windows and see if this has helped at all.
