Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I plugged in my headset and accidentally pressed the "Headphones" option instead of "Headset" in the "What did you plug in" pop-up and now my headset's microphone is not detected by Windows at all. The device is not disabled in any way. Windows 10 64-Bit, the headset is from HyperX

I have tried all of the solutions in the article and the issue still persists. I have uninstalled the drivers. The issue also is also present with different headsets. It is plugged into the 3.5mm jack. Sorry if I am missing an obvious solution,

I want the check your current system configuration.

 

(1) Run    msinfo32

- Select <System Summary>:

--->>> copy/paste to following key/value pairs:

 

OS Name

Version

System Model

System SKU ( equals HP product number (p/n) )

BIOS Version/Date

 

(2) Start windows <device manager>

- Expand <Bluetooth USB>

- Expand <Mice and other pointing devices>

- Expand <Human Interface Devices>

- Expand <Network adapters>

- Expand <Sound, video and game controllers>
