Hf,
I just bought my bride a new HP Spectre x360 - 13t-ap000 CTO it came with B&O speaker system "Smart Audio".
I used PCMover to move her old files to her new machine. Evidently, the move trashed the smart audio files and now it gives an annoying message that it can't find a Realtek/Conextant Device.
a pop-up message from
Smart Audio
says
"A Conexant Audio Device could not be found. The application will now exit."
You would think that this should be an easy fix (i.e. reinstall the package) but noooooooo I have been scouring the web and the HP sites for the last three days and have not been able to find a place to obtain the file(s).
And please don't suggest I run that "next to" worthless audio test/troubleshooter it does NADA. I have run it many times.
Here are my Machine details:
Product number: 4CJ13AVSerial number: 5CD0XXXXXXXXXXX (not real S/N)

@park_ridge_dave Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you are getting error a Conexant Audio Device could not be found. The application will now exit the message.
Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue,
Let's try these steps -
Step 1 Run Audio troubleshooter -
1) In Windows, type "Find and fix audio" into Search, or right-click the speaker icon on the taskbar and select Troubleshoot sound problems.
2) Select Find and fix audio playback problems or Find and fix audio recording problems from the Search results.
Step 2 Re-install the Audio drivers -
1) In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
2) Double-click Sound, video and game controllers.
3) Right-click on the Audio drivers and click on uninstall.
4) Restart the computer.
Download and install the latest audio driver for Win 10 (64-bit).
