How do I remove this control panel from my screen, it is very annoying!!  Apparrently something to do with noise cancellation?

Thank you for the post and Welcome HP Forums I understand the concern that your are facing issues with Audio You just had go to Start--> Control Panel--> Sounds, In that Just go to Microphone Enhancement inside that check the box Noise Cancellation there you go that's it.’ Hope this helps!

This doesnt help. It disappears but appears again once you disconnect microfone and connect it back

I want to remove this thing permanently, so that it never appears again. How do I do that?

I figured this out. In task manager, disable "AppFollower". 

 

In Program Files\CONEXANT\Flow, rename AppFollower.exe so that it never appears again.
