I've been working on fixing the audio issue with my HP EliteBook 850 G6.

First, I downloaded the audio driver from the HP website, but it didn't work. Any suggestions?

Also, I often encounter this problem. I even opened the laptop and blew out the dust, but the issue persists. Do you have any recommendations for the correct driver?

Thank you.

Fix the cooling fan first!

Once that is fixed, uninstall all drivers related to the Realtek(R) audio driver. Use DriverStore or Driver Display Uninstaller (DDU) software for a clean install. Drivers related to Realtek(R) Audio are usually in the categories "AudioProcessingObject", "Extensions", "Software components".

Also check through Device Manager whether there is a warning about the driver Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller & Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology OED.
