Hp Omen 15-ce008nt
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi dear HP forum members, my HP OMEN 15-CE008NT laptop has a audio problem.  My OP is Original Windows 10 Pro x64 (v1803) build 17134.228 . My all drivers up to date even bios.

My first problem is, sound is not balanced. Sounds mostly comes from left speaker but right speaker is working well. And sounds always crackling mostly right speaker. When i try to set audio balance  on windows settings sounds quality getting bad.

My second problem is sounds crackling like a damaged speaker. That crackling sound mostly comes from right speaker.

My third problem is sound delay. When i open any sound material , this could be on the web or local programs like vlc sounds delays 2-3 seconds.

I tried reinstall drivers but no solutions, i never tried older windows versions because i just bought this laptop it came with windows lastest update.

My opinion is dolby sound drivers ( realtek is contains problem) because when i set off dolby, no crackling no balance problem but as you can guess audio level getting less quality.

Thanks in advance

Troubleshooting no sound or sound malfunctions, here's the complete step by step guide to help you out:

for the crackling sound, I recommend you connect a headphone and check if the noise appears on it as well, if yes, you could reinstall the drivers from the device manager and then update the same along with BIOS & Chipset using the HP website:

If the crackling sound only appears on the speakers and not the headphone, we may requires a hardware replacement of the speakers and you can refer to my private message for further assistance:
