I can't find a way to reinstall the B&O Audio on my HP Pavillion 15-eg0050wm laptop.  I deleted the program (add/remove) because it stopped working. I was hoping either Windows OR the HP Assistant would notice the missing software, and reinstall it.  Add a Device in the HP Assistant doesn't find it. Updating drivers with the HP Assistant doesn't find it. Doing a driver scan from HP's website with my serial number doesn't find it.  A Windows Update check doesn't find it.  The only solutions I find with Google are the things in the previous sentences.

 

I was getting an error trying to open B&O Audio - unable to connect to RPC server.  I was trying to access the equalizer, which used to work. The only solution I saw was to make sure three services were running, and they were.  I saw one apparently wrong solution which was to give the public access to Remote Assistance in the Windows Firewall.  I tried that and immediately re-disabled it.  This last solution was actually posted by an HP employee in this forum.

 

Windows 10 Home 22H2; all updates installed.

The instruction on that page (Windows 7-10) are how to install B&O within an Android emulator running on your PC.

 

"1. Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac: Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App ..."
