Product: HP 250 15.6 inch G9 Notebook PC (511W0AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought a new laptop and installed Windows 10 on it. When I finished installing it I noticed the trackpad and speakers weren't working. I browsed the internet for solutions but nothing worked (mostly for the speakers). When I hover over the audio icon on my taskbar I get this message: "No Audio Output Device is installed.". Is this a common issue? What should I do?

Hi:

 

HP only supports your notebook for W11.

 

I recommend that you take the free upgrade from W10>W11 and use the W11 drivers from the support page.

You can get the free upgrade to W11 by clicking on the blue W11 Installation Assistant button at the link below (1st option).

 

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

 

If there is some important reason why you have to run W10 (such as software requirements, etc.), the only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W10 audio and touchpad drivers from the previous model HP 250 G8.
