Probook 6570b
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear all,
I have  a  Probook 6570b without sound since os upgrade (w7->w10)
The preblem is not new,  few articles talk about it with success in some cases.
The sp71717.exe  is a good solution for desktops.
I  tried spSP63916.exe from w8.1 release.
Result: no sound.
When i  try to solve the problem (windows wizard) the sound commes
When i finish, i get the message: Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. IDT High Definition Audio CODEC.  Till here, i have the sound.
Whene i close the wizard, the sound goes off.

 Regards

Hi:

There is only one actual W10 IDT notebook driver, which was for the HP 242 G2 notebook.

You can try it.  It worked for my HP 350 G1 that has the IDT audio, but no W10 driver on the support page.

That would be the only suggestion I can offer.    Restart the PC after installing the driver.

Unfortunately not compatible with the 6570b.

"Detected hardware is not supported by this IDT package. installation will be interrupted".

Thanks anyway.

You're very welcome.

Sorry that driver didn't work for you.
