I bought this i7 10th Gen hoping to use it as the base of my new recording studio. However, the DAW I want (Apollo) needs a Thunderbolt capability. I know my laptop doesn't have Thunderbolt in it, I didn't know about that at the time I bought it. What I'd like to know if anyone knows, I have USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type C. I have seen USB converters which seem to convert Type C usb's to Thunderbolt - at least in Zbook and Elite. My hope is I can use this converter with my Envy then hook up my Apollo DAW onto that so that I could use the Apollo DAW with my Envy laptop. Does anyone know about this? Is it workable? Or is this all moot without the Thunderbolt chip in your laptop?
Thanks.

@TareyW Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you would like to use the USB C type to thunderbolt port converter.
I understand your concerns.
You can use the converter. It may or may not work.
