Hello
I have found an error with my laptop sleeping mode several weeks ago.
If I use a sleeping mode every day and every night. I don't turn off my laptop on the night. I usually turn on a sleeping mode.
If I use a sleeping mode my audio system doesn't work after waking up. My external Audio Speakers (2 items) is connected to laptop. Sound works but Audio Speakers doesn't work.
I usually reload my laptop and after that My external Audio Speakers (2 items) works correct.
I have found that the error does not appear every morning.
I saw the error several times (4-6 times). I decide to ask you. Maybe somebody had th error too and know a solving of the error.

IMHO: Realtek does not update old drivers. They do provide new drivers for their new chips and frequently the new drivers fix problems on older systems that are backwards compatible.
I have Realtek audio driver on one of my non-HP system. Out of the back there are a pair of powered speakers. One day, after a feature update to windows, the speakers quiet working. I never go them to work in the back of the desktop but they worked fine using the front panel connector. Something Microsoft had in the win11 update caused a problem with the audio distribution or "mixer".
You have a waking from sleep problem. If it cannot be fixed with a driver, then use hibernate instead of sleep. Hibernate actually turns off the PC.
Make sure the speakers are working then issue the following command from the windows administrators command prompt
To get a new hiberfile do the following. Enter 'CMD' in the windows search and select 'run as administrator'.
.
powercfg -h off powercfg -h on |
|
then bring up the power plan and enabled hibernation instead of sleep.
Put a check in the hibernate and then the hibernate option will be available where 'sleep' is shown above.

Possibly the June 1, 2020 Realtek audio driver may fix the problem. It is version 6.0.8940.1
If not, then I recommend you use hibernation instead of sleep when closing the lid of the laptop. You may have to enable hibernation first

You need to reboot to get hibernation file
To get a new hiberfile do the following. Enter 'CMD' in the windows search and select 'run as administrator'.
Be sure to close other apps to avoid losing data during the hibernation.
make sure speakers are working
powercfg -h off powercfg -h on shutdown /h |
then bring up the power plan
