Intel Smart Sound Technology Drive Win10 x64 for Brand new HP 17" laptop 17-cn1003ca

Got a brand new HP 17" laptop ( 17-cn1003ca) with Windows 11 preloaded, but I need to downgrade it to Win10x 64. The Audio driver was not recognized by the Win10, therefore went to HP download site, auto detected the laptop, under Win10 x 64, there is only Realtek Audio driver available for download, but after installing it, the laptop still have yellow flags on Intel High Definition Audio, PC Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller under Other devices category plus other two unknown devices, even I have installed all available from HP download. I have noticed that in Win11 on the same laptop before wiping it clean, the device manager showed three device under Sound video and gaming Controllers: 1. Intel Smart Sound Technology for Digital Microphone, 2. Intel Smart Sound Technology for USB Audio, 3. Real Tech Audio.   but , under Windows 10, in the same category, only Intel Smart Sound Technology for Digital Microphone shows up. 

Any driver I am missing? There is none from HP download site.

Hi:

The Intel graphics driver should have installed the Intel HD audio driver.

This driver should install the PC Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller and one of the unknown devices.

If you post the hardware ID for the other unknown device, I'll see if I can find the driver you need for it.

Thank you for your quick response. 

After downloading and installing two new drivers you have listed,  two unknown and Intel  PC Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller who were listed under Other Devices  now are gone, good news. 

But, the Intel High Definition Audio is still listed under Other Devices, therefore no sound at all. 

I have copied this hardware ID here for your reference.

According to the hardware ID you posted, that device should be installed by the Realtek audio driver.

10EC = Realtek.

Since you already tried this driver and it didn't install the device, see if you can manually install it as follows.

Go to the device manager.  Click on the Intel HD audio device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp111808.

Make sure that the Include subfolder box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.

If that doesn't work, see if Windows update will install the driver for you.

You can also try these two audio drivers from the 17-c0000 model series...

I did a search and there seems to be issues with getting the driver to work.

I have tried all of your options listed, including manually install driver, downloaded and installed older versions automatically and manually, but no luck. Any other options? or escalate to higher level support from HP?

I see you are experiencing audio issues with the HP Laptop PC. I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. It seems like could be software related issue.

I have a few recommendations 

• Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
• Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date. 
• Try doing Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check if it works.
