@PP1119, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

That beeping sound on your new HP Laptop PC 15 could be caused by a few different things, but let’s pinpoint the issue and fix it. Here are some key areas to check:

1. Identify the Type of Beep

Is it a BIOS beep? If it's a single or repeating beep from the internal speaker (not Windows), it could indicate a hardware issue.

Is it a Windows notification sound? If it happens randomly and comes from the speakers, it might be an alert from software or drivers.

2. Check Event Viewer for System Alerts

Press Win + X → Click Event Viewer.

Go to Windows Logs > System.

Look for warnings or errors around the time you heard the beep.

3. Test in BIOS Mode (To Rule Out Windows Issues)

Restart your laptop and press F10 during boot to enter BIOS.

Leave it in BIOS mode for a few minutes.

If the beeping continues, it’s likely a hardware issue.

If the beeping stops, something in Windows is triggering it.

4. Disable System Beep in Windows (If It’s Annoying)

Press Win + X → Device Manager.

Expand System Devices.

Find Beep, right-click, and disable.

5. Check Hardware

Try running HP PC Hardware Diagnostics:

Turn off the laptop.

Press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open diagnostics.

Run a system test.

6. Update Drivers & BIOS

Open HP Support Assistant and check for updates.

Visit HP’s support page for your model and update the BIOS and chipset drivers.

7. Try a Hard Reset (If Beeping Persists)

Shut down the laptop.

Unplug it and remove peripherals.

Hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Turn it back on and check if the beeping stops.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue
