Microphone Not Working on HP ENVY Laptop 17-cg1000

Dear HP Support Team,

I am writing to report an issue with the microphone on my HP ENVY Laptop, Model 17-cg1000. The microphone is not functioning properly, and I am unable to use it for voice calls, recordings, or any other audio input tasks.

Here are the details of the issue:

1. **Model:** HP ENVY Laptop 17-cg1000
2. **Operating System:**  Windows 11
3. **Issue Description:** Internal mic not picking sound
- The microphone is not picking up any sound.
- I have checked the microphone settings, and it appears to be enabled, but no input is detected..
- I have updated the audio drivers and checked for Windows updates, but the issue persists.

4. **Steps Taken to Troubleshoot:**
- Verified that the microphone is not muted in the system settings.
- Tested the microphone with different applications (e.g., Zoom, Windows Voice Recorder).
- Restarted the laptop multiple times.
- Updated audio drivers from the HP Support website.
- Checked for physical damage or obstructions to the microphone.

Despite these efforts, the problem remains unresolved. I kindly request your assistance in diagnosing and fixing this issue. Please let me know if additional information or diagnostics are required.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
Etrit
