Internal Microphone Set-up on hp Paviliion

I am sure you appreciate how frustrating this is.  Not only have I had an unusable laptop for several days while I have tried to fix this, I have also invested 2 days of time following your suggestions.

Pointing me to a generic website and telling me to "contact HP" is not helpful.  Specific instructions, including a phone number, contact info and the process for resolving this hardware would be appropriate response.

Would you PLEASE be more specific in how I would resolve this.
